Carded POA Judge
Certified Open Horse Show Judge (NCSU)
2008 certification includes: western, hunter, saddleseat, non-trotting
Currently pursuing other breed cards
As a professional in the horse business, I own and operate my own horse business which includes: standing a stallion (earned a 2007 World Champion title,) lessons, training, boarding, onsite horse shows, clinics, and a show team. I specialize in ‘all around’ horses and students that compete in halter, showmanship, hunter, western, and equitation. I have been in the horse business for 20 years and have participated in all aspects of horse shows, including hosting my own show circuit, and my former 2-year term as President of a local show organization that consisted of nearly 200 members. Additionally, I am an ex-4H leader of 8 years; establishing 2 clubs within two counties and included 27 active members.
As a coach, I have taught students who have won numerous State titles on the 4H level, earned numerous Registers of Merit, Superior Awards, Year-End Awards, High Point Show Awards, Regional Awards, Top 5 National titles, Top 10 National titles, and World Champion titles.
As a judge, I have a reputation of being extremely fair, professional, and work very well with youth. My certification includes western, hunter, saddleseat, and non-trotting horses. I have judged shows that range from small 4-H shows to large 3-day shows with 1700 entries, and 100 entries in a class. Additionally, I have a true appreciation of all breeds and understand their individual form and way of going.
Some of the Divisions/Classes previously judged include: Western/English/Hunter Pleasure, Halter, Showmanship, Equitation, Horsemanship, Hunter Over Fences, Jumpers, Gaited classes, Pacing horses, Sporthorse In Hand, Show Hack, Pleasure Driving, Roadster Pony, Working Western, Reining, Gymkhana, Western Riding, Trail, Saddleseat, 5-Gaited Saddlebred, Miniature Horses, and Dressage (suitability and tests)
Please contact me via email or phone and I look forward to speaking with you in hopes that I may assist you as a judge in your 2008 show season.
